About the Resort
Once one of Gaylord's original alpine ski resorts called Snow Valley, Beaver Creek is now void of rope tows and ski lifts of its previous identity.
The resort is located just five miles southwest of downtown Gaylord, nestled between Otsego Lake and thousands of acres of state forest with a 18-hole championship golf course, THE NATURAL as our neighbors to the north.
Because of Beaver Creek Resorts central location, you are just a short scenic drive from northern Lower Michigan's many varied treasures. Just an hour to Mackinaw City, Traverse City, Harbor Springs and the tunnel of trees this is a breathtaking ride along Lake Michigan and through the northern forest. Less than an hours drive will take you to casinos, several canoe liveries and some of the best downhill skiing in Michigan.
The resort consists of approximately eighty acres of rolling hills and woods, with a five-acre fishing lake carved out of the middle. Beaver Creek Resort offers thirty-seven cabins and sixty-three campsites for your lodging needs and boasts a spacious clubhouse with fireplace, cable TV, and warm surroundings. There's a game room, workout center with adult lounge, luxurious indoor heated pool with atrium, jacuzzi and dry sauna. We also offer tennis, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, a giant 200' waterslide, and a great miniature golf course complete with waterfall, cave and stream flowing into the lake where paddleboats can be rented.
Less than five minutes from the resort, the city of Gaylord offers, fine dining in over 40 restaurants, exciting nightlife, great shopping in dozens of specialty shops plus national chains such as Wal-Mart, Kmart, Kohl's, Old Navy, Home Depot, and many more. The city itself is done in a Bavarian theme and offers many events including Alpenfest and the number one rated county fair in northern Michigan.
